Gracie Rodriguez, 73, passed away on December 29, 2021 at Covenant Medical Center. She was the wife of Richard L. Rodriguez. They married August 24, 1972, in Lubbock, TX and shared 12 years together.
She was born May 16, 1948, in Torreón, Mexico to Jesus Gallegos and Acasia Avila. She was employed at Covenant Lakeside and worked as an Environmental Aid. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Gracie enjoyed playing Loteria and visiting family and friends while drinking coffee. She will be remembered for her heart of gold full of love. She had the kindest of hearts to everyone that met her. She was the most beautiful, loving, caring wife and mother to her family, and she had a great sense of humor
She is survived by 5 children: Jerry Rodriguez, Mayela Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, Donnie Rodriguez, Gracie Lynn Rodriguez all of Lubbock. 16 grandchildren: Breana Rodriguez, Jesse J Ornelas Jr, Jonathan Rodriguez, Donovan Rodriguez, Victoria Pauda, Michael Hernandez, Ashli Ornelas, Matthew Ornelas, Aidan Rodriguez, Jonas Rodriguez, Noah Rodriguez, Jessica Ochoa, Joseph Ybarra, Noah Ybarra, Jacob Ybarra, Brooklyn Ybarra and 13 great-grandchildren. 3 siblings: Guadalupe Huerta, Socorro Gallegos, Ignacio Gallegos.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard L Rodriguez, her mother Acasia Avila and sister Luz De La Rosa Gallegos.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 6 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father Rudy Crasta officiating.
Visitation: Wednesday, January 5 from 1p.m. to 9 p.m.
Rosary: Wednesday January 5th, 7pm Guajardo Funeral Chapels
Burial: Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park
