It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Morris Harmon, beloved husband, father, and friend, who left us on March 16, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on April 3, 1940, in Springfield, AR, John spent his later years in Lubbock, TX, where he created a warm and loving home.
John found joy in Tech games with his son Danny and fishing trips with his best friend, Edward. His love for nature and the great outdoors was matched only by the love he had for his family. John was blessed to be loved by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as his favorite nephews from Arkansas, Randy and Tracy Harmon. John was a hard worker who always put his loved ones first, as well as his country as he served in the U.S ARMY from 1962-1968. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and kind heart.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Cecilia, and an adoring family that includes his sons Joe (Michelle), Daniel (Rosario), David (Sandra) and daughters Alicia (David), Elizabeth, MaryLu, Elaine (Bernabe), and Rachel. Each of them carries a piece of his legacy and the love he shared throughout his life.
Funeral services will be held to celebrate John's life and the memories we all hold dear. Details for the ceremony will be announced soon, and we invite all who knew and loved him to join us in remembering this remarkable man.
