Luis Guadalupe Mata

Luis Guadalupe Mata, 73, of Lamesa, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. He was born June 20, 1950, in Delicias, Chihuahua to Luis y Gloria Mata. He married Laura Sanchez on February 28, 2001, in Brownfield, Texas and shared 23 years together. Luis was employed at Allen Doggett Construction Co. and worked as a construction worker. He enjoyed dancing, spending time with his dog, Milo, and being with his family. He will be remembered for being funny, telling jokes, and always being cheerful.

Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Laura, his children Lily Mata, Miriam Mendoza and Ruth Molina, his grandchildren, Jonathan, Johana, Johara, Brittany, Melissa, Jailyn, Marangely, Mariela, Marilyn and Makayla, his great-grandchildren Analia, Ariela, Laura, Carolina, Adriel, Camila and Adriana. He is preceded in death by Luis and Gloria Mata and Carlos Octavio Mata.

Funeral services will be held in Mexico at a later date.
