Urbano Rodriguez

Urbano Rodriguez, 100, passed from this life on March 6, 2022. He was born June 20, 1921 in Cardenas Mexico S.L.P. to Enrique Salas and Ambrosia Rodriguez. He married Salustia Rodriguez July 27, 1940 and they shared 56 years together. He worked at Farmers Co-Op Compress and was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. Urbano enjoyed studying his Bible and gardening. He will be remembered for his love of gardening, playing his accordion, and his humble personality.

Urbano is survived by his two daughters Maria Barbarita Rodriguez and Florentina Rodriguez of Mexico; his nine sons Lorenzo Rodriguez, J. Domingo Rodriguez, Eliseo Rodriguez, Aurelio Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, Mario Rodriguez, Urbano Rodriguez, and Teofilo Rodriguez of Lubbock; 58 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Salustia Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 13 from 4:00 to 9:00. Funeral mass will be held Monday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
